GenHillOneParticipantWoo-hoo! New home found, thank you!!
GenHillOneParticipantWe got our converters & adapters at the Southcenter Brookstone.
GenHillOneParticipantThanks, All! I was hoping to be done with it before April, but at least I know it’s coming. And I didn’t know about Shred Stop either – cool idea! We need one in WS…if I have to pay, I’d choose their values over the other options – Methow Valley and the Duwamish? Yup :)

GenHillOneParticipantPlanning to attend!
GenHillOneParticipantWow, this seems like a lot of brew-ha-ha. I’m sorry you got an uninformed response, Kevin, and borris, well, I don’t know what you got…but did anyone actually GO to Amazon’s website and see if it was an actual Amazon Local offering? You can always go check it out without clicking on a link. I get Amazon Local emails as well and thought all this was strange because mine appeared to come from the same email address as the others. It was the real deal – http://preview.tinyurl.com/n3p6kbs
(I put the link in preview mode in case anyone might think I’m passing along some other nefarious bug ;))
GenHillOneParticipantI use Zebra now and have been very satisfied.
GenHillOneParticipantI have no idea what that’s even supposed to mean, Jan, but at least three people have mentioned how long the thread is, a lack of action, etc. I’m saying that the OP could have already taken steps, but might not feel like coming back to the thread.
GenHillOneParticipantWhy on earth would the OP come back to report after the reaction received? I’m sure the neighbors will handle it the way they see fit and don’t owe any of us a thing.
GenHillOneParticipantIf you don’t want to do it yourself (I didn’t) or can’t wait until school starts…Jiffy Lube is $42 (a little higher for synthetic oil) and a quick search will get you a $15 off coupon that you can print or show on your phone. It includes five quarts and checks on other fluids, so worth 27 bucks for me.
GenHillOneParticipantJust to flip things around a little…a lot of folks here are assuming he’s homeless or down on his luck. What if he’s not? What if it really is a bad domestic situation. Or both? If it were me, I’d trust my gut and at least ask the police to check it out.
GenHillOneParticipant*LIKE*!! That’s so great! Sandy is lucky to have found good people. Bravo all around :D
GenHillOneParticipantSorry, I’m with oddreality on this too. Yes, those other actions are inhumane, but there are some steps that seem to be missed for humans, pets, and wildlife to co-exist. And frankly, it may be unintentional, but the post feels like a thinly veiled ad for the company.

GenHillOneParticipantI just saw four cute kittens and one awesome adult that fit this description at Next to Nature – they’re waiting for you!!
GenHillOneParticipantSo Andrea206, if you do housecleaning, why did you hire Cecilia, or are you actually her partner?
GenHillOneParticipantUgh, Halyn, this makes my skin crawl, because I thought I had a critter in my attic many years ago (if only!). I too had the misfortune of discovering that the scratching was coming from yellow jackets. While not exclusive to them, the time table you’re describing is a fit. I’m glad you’re contacting your landlord. Can we say half-dead yj falling through vents? *ewwwww*
GenHillOneParticipantThank you for your looking out for the cat, anonyme. However this story ends, I trust that he will be treated with care and respect because he is in good hands. There’s no telling what additional suffering might have arisen from his health issues.

Talaki34, I’m not sure where you’re coming from. I can never fault someone for having compassion for animals without a voice, but I hope you can see the irony in your comments.
GenHillOneParticipantFantastic news :)
GenHillOneParticipantFirst, thank you, waterworld, for the info!
anonyme, I’m not the person hammerhead mentioned, but have a flexible schedule for the next couple of weeks and would also be willing to come photograph/report this. I agree that more reports, from multiple people, will bring action. I’m an animal-lover too, with “beasties” from both FAF & FCAT, so please reach out to HH, as she knows how to reach me! Let’s work together on this.
GenHillOneParticipantI don’t see any mention of that term, Betty, so I wouldn’t let yourself get too worked up. As far as the life of the camp, Jan, speaking for myself anyway, I’ve seen it mentioned in several spots that even NV itself acknowledges that its time is limited. I’ll have to get off of my ittybitty keyboard to find the links, but a couple of references that come to mind – an HPAC meeting and a story about the property and Food Lifeline.
GenHillOneParticipantWas that the agreement? Did the person who provided the goats say she would be responsible for food? I’ve gone back to last year’s discussion and didn’t see that come up. I hope you get a call Talaki. I also worry about their hooves in mud. And what happens to them when the camp floods?
GenHillOneParticipantHey, StringCheese – what ARE the start and dismiss times for Boren? That might help (drivers who are willing to comply) with the “when children are present” issue. I’m befuddled around Roxhill so far this year, because the lights aren’t flashing when I expect them to be (they might be one of the staggered schedules). And I agree with Irukandji. I was surprised to see that there wasn’t a School Zone around Boren when Sealth moved there – teens are notorious dodgers!
GenHillOneParticipantBig fan of soccer (and baseball!) moms here, but oh my, that’s some impressive rationalizing, gambaru (pardon the swerving?!). How about for starters you take the checker up on “Would you like some help out today?” You can load the kids while someone else loads your groceries. It’s quicker and the cart goes back to the store! Cool huh? Don’t know about you, but I’m into raising kids for more than my future financial support. Considerate and responsible humans are also needed in the future, so showing children how to say “thank you” to the helpful store employee doesn’t hurt either. “Just raise em good…and enjoy them.” – I’ll go with you on that one kootchman. (my kind of “good” though I guess, lol)
September 5, 2012 at 2:40 pm in reply to: Rant: Cars passing buses in the Rapid Ride bus stops #769893
GenHillOneParticipantI wish Metro buses had stop paddles! I think part of the problem is the huge variance in how Metro drivers “communicate” with their flashers and turn/merge signals. It’s so hard to predict what the bus is going to do. How many times have you unnecessarily waited for a bus or conversely had to avoid a bus that suddenly decided to pull away from the curb into your lane because of how the flashers were used/not used. Not saying it’s right, just that after years of the free-for-all, it makes those bump-outs even riskier.
GenHillOneParticipantNot WS, but operates during the school year too! – http://www.broadwaybound.org/
GenHillOneParticipantI saw this guy too – one finger salute up over his head as he walked in residential North Admiral. Hard to tell from the WSB Ryan Cox photo I found, but I *think* this guy is older than him (and I don’t remember this guy having Cox’s signature gallon jug in his hand). He does seem like he could be volatile though, and – without inciting paranoia – at least worth being aware.
