I work in retail (none of the stores mentioned here) and have been told that all I can do is follow them around the store and talk to them; I can’t touch them as I could be sued for assault. And not to put myself in harms way. The store shares information and pictures with it’s other locations but when you see hundreds of people a day are you really going to recognize a shoplifter from a grainy security camera picture with the person wearing a coat, hat, mask, etc.

Try Circa. They have a really good chocolate cake but I don’t know if it’s an everyday menu item.

I was looking for info on this closure back in the summer as that is my route home some nights. I don’t know for sure but my husband, who works with WDOT and SDOT, says that they closed it at the same time as the Lander to keep west bound traffic from backing up to 4th Ave S and that it will be closed until Lander is complete.

VCA is the worst! They had no problem taking my money and recommending expensive and unnecessary tests/treatments, etc when my dog was healthy but when my dog had ripped out her fur and was bloody from hotspots I was told that there is nothing that can be done and that we would just have to deal with it. I asked about allergies, diet, etc and was told “no, just deal with it”. I didn’t know any better so we suffered and “dealt with it” but a friend saw my dog and said that I needed a new vet. Went to West Seattle Animal Hospital, got antibiotics and steroids and the hotspots cleared right up.

    Fingers crossed for Arrow’s recovery!

I concur with BCR. I live on Genesee Hill and work in downtown Bellevue.

And if you get to the West Seattle Bridge after 8am plan on 60+ mins.

Smiles at Southcenter. Dr Doreen Roseto is a West Seattleite. Our whole family goes there and they don’t do anything without you knowing the cost ahead of time. I leave every visit with a treatment plan for the next visit and what the total and my out of pocket cost will be, even if it’s just a cleaning. Sorry I can’t tell you what those cost are as I don’t have a treatment plan with me right now. They also use CareCredit so you can make payments if needed.

I work in a seasonal store that caters to children and am always surprised at the number of people that don’t want their change. We use it for the kids that come in without an adult and don’t have enough money (they never think about the sales tax) and if there’s any left at the end of the season it’s donated to charity.

It’s the best BBQ that I’ve found in Seattle. I’m from GA but like SC pulled pork and Memphis ribs.

My husband and I ate there a couple of months ago and tried a variety of things and liked them all. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, hushpuppies, mac and cheese, collard greens, texas caviar and coleslaw.

“SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT” especially on the interstate/highway but if you’re passing me in the right lane on the WSB it’s because I’m lining up in the left lane to get on I-5 N and I’m not moving right so you can pass me on the left.

My husband and I went to a restaurant on the Eastside where the menu was black ink on dark brown paper. Who thought that was a good idea? Everyone in the place had their phone out trying to read.

Maybe it’s just me but if I were interested in the position I would be going to the store and applying in person rather than asking for their contact info.

And having a wheelchair isn’t any better. My mother was here visting earlier this summer and she does have mobility issues so I rented a wheelchair for her. As I was pushing her and keeping up with the flow of pedestrian traffic people would step around us and stop right in front of the wheelchair.

I don’t have mobility issues and walk on Alki a lot and the number of people that walk abreast and don’t move over for 1 person is amazing. I walk on the far right of the path and if it looks like they aren’t going to make room I just stop and make them walk around me.

Get your picture taken before going to the Westwood Village post office!

When I called a couple of weeks ago to make a passport appointment for yesterday I specifically asked if the camera was working (becuase I had read this post) and was told it was. My appt was a 2pm yesterday so I called in the morning and asked if the camera was working and was told it was. When I got there for the appt there was a sign saying that they can’t take pictures as the camera is broken.

They told me that it had been broken for some time and to go to RiteAid for a picture and come back.

Once I had the picture it was smooth sailing but why lie to me over the phone?

The whole West Coast is effected not just Washington.

My husband was just in LA and the hotel he stayed at apologized for the construction in the hotel. Their remodel was supposed to be completed but all of the new furniture and fixtures have been sitting on a ship at anchor for 3 weeks and counting.
