    I’d and Scotty,

You may try contacting West Seattle Autoworks or Swedish Automotive, sponsors of the West Seattle Car show on August 25th at South Seattle College. They may know of someone willing to help you. Congratulations, and good luck finding your perfect dream car!

Hi katparrott, I feel your pain. I live on Alki too. I suggest you attend the next Alki Community Council Meeting on Thursday, May 19th, and express your concerns. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 6115 SW Hinds Street. And occasionally the Southwest Police Precinct holds community meetings. I try to attend both. Hope your cat is fine.

I agree with Sue and Jamjets regarding JW PetCare. I am out of town right now, and Jackie and Jason are taking care of my precious cat. He loves them, and I know he is getting excellent care. They treat my little Bailey like family!

Staples in Westwood Village shreds. You can go online and get a coupon for first 5 pounds free, but you need to bring in more than 5 pounds.

I recommend Jackie and Jason, owners of JW PetCare. They are professional and will take excellent care of your dog. I have a cat, and wouldn’t think of using anyone else.

There is a Crime Prevention Council meeting tomorrow night, May 20th, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at 2300 SW Webster, the Southwest Precinct. I know from attending previous meetings that the police do listen, and hopefully they will act, if they haven’t already.

Take them to West Seattle Nursery on California Avenue. They send them out to be sharpened, and are returned in a few days.

Have you considered a professional pet sitter? There are many in the area. I have used JW PetCare for several years now, and my cat just loves them.

We get our trees at Tony’s up on 35th, and they deliver it. Again, I don’t know if it is a service they usually offer, but we always give then a big tip. Their trees are fresh and beautiful.

We always use JW Pet Care. 932-2076. I agree with the other posts. It is best when a cat can stay in their own home. I also feel that having someone that is bonded and licensed is important. I highly recommend them. It’s worth a call.

    Hi pdxbear,

Your Aunt’s name (Penny’s Mom) was Geraldine Haddenham. Unfortunately, she passed away on February 27th, 2012. Her obituary can be found on the west seattle blog dated March 16, 2012. And yes, Penny did have siblings. I hope this helps you find answers.

I highly recommend JW Pet Care. I am at a trade show in Atlanta at the moment, and JW Pet Care is taking excellent care of my cat. They are also pet sitting for a dog that is fairly near my house and emailed me to tell me that since they were so close they were able to make a second visit yesterday for more play time. Just call them for an interview. You won’t be dissapointed. Their phone #is (206) 306-4158 and (206) 932-2076.
