I am trying to get an old version of Office or Word-for my Window XP- I ordered the newer version 2013 and they are not compatible. I just want to do some old school things like type resume etc. Let me know if you can help! Thanks

You can download libreoffice at libreoffice.org. It reads and writes MS Office formats and it’s open source and free.

office 2000 works fine for xp. Also the last ver that does not “call home” so lots of copies are out there. I think I just got another copy of office for xp and as soon as I can verify the cd key works I can give it away.

I’m a fan of OpenOffice myself, been using it ten years now. I got it when I was trying to make pdf’s and didn’t want to pay for Acrobat Writer/Reader (pd version). OpenOffice let’s you create pdf for free, in addition to all their other programs (Word, Excel, etc).
