Ms. SparklesParticipantThose who report a woman driving the White Escalade – you should cruise the block of Walnut just north of SW Charlestown and see if the same vehicle is parked near a home on the West side of that block.
If yes, then I know this person and can point her toward this thread. She owns a business in the Junction so might be encouraged to reign in the agressive driving if she thinks the bad publicity may hurt business.

WilmaParticipantI just saw her again at 12:15 this afternoon weaving in and out of traffic, flying down the center lane and almost flipping her Escalade trying to avoid the center median. She is going to kill someone!

anonymous123ParticipantI’ve also been seeing lots of people driving recklessly swerving in and out of the turn lane to pass people on Delridge by the K-Stem school. Every time I see it happen I first hope that they don’t hit any pedestrians (or anyone) and the second thing I hope for is this:

MookieMemberIt was broadcast over the police radio again this afternoon around 2 pm to all “William” police units to be on the look for – white Cadillac Escalade, driving erratically/recklessly from Admiral Way/California, last seen southbound on California near Charlestown. AND they broadcast the license plate. Let’s hope the owners get contacted.

But, yeah, I would love to see the cops get this Escalade lunatic who is a real danger to others – and has awful taste in vehicles.

MookieMemberAaaaaaand again today on Sunday, 2:12 pm, Admiral District southbound on California: “White Cadillac Escalade” described as having a “vanity plate” with three letters, driving recklessly. I think he (or the person who called it in) meant “partial” plate, because the three letters match the one from yesterday.

This selfish asshat driver needs to check themself – their shaving a few seconds getting somewhere is not worth the potential (some might say eventuality) of forcing others off the road, or banging into someone else’s vehicle causing damage, bodily injury or worse.
.
Everyone who sees this self-entitled jerk endangering others while driving, please call it in to SPD. Perhaps a preponderance of reports can tip the scales and SPD might contact and talk to the driver, even if they didn’t personally witness these incidents.

I would urge that please, do not post any identifying information here such as the full plate, names, etc.,– just keep calling SPD with as much info as you can when you witness this (or any other) “driver” being reckless and endangering others in traffic.

alkiwendyParticipantThere is a Crime Prevention Council meeting tomorrow night, May 20th, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at 2300 SW Webster, the Southwest Precinct. I know from attending previous meetings that the police do listen, and hopefully they will act, if they haven’t already.

IrukandjiParticipantMy turn with the cream Escalade, windows tinted dark at about 20%. I was aggressively tailgated north on 44th from Oregon, a street narrow-ish with cars parked on both sides. The driver was southbound on 44th but made a U-turn at Oregon so ended up behind me as I headed north. The Escalade driver kept making moves as if wanting to speed around me on the right, then left, backing off, then rushing right up onto the back of my car. I got the license plate and will check to see if it’s the one mentioned as belonging to a person on Walnut/Charleston.

SmittyParticipantI live about ten blocks from Walnut/Charlestown and have made this street a part of my walking routine. I have yet to spot this vehicle anywhere near or around that intersection (I walk Walnut all the way to Hiawatha). I have been all different times of day from early morning to late at night (stalker alert!). They must have a garage.

SmittyParticipantJan, if you ever see a heavy set guy walking a crazy golden retriever (on a leash!) feel free to wave! I will wave back. I usually take Walnut all the way down to Safeway-ish.
I can’t WAIT to run into the esaclade – I may follow her/him (if I can!) just out of curiosity.

OMG. Today, new blue Honda CRV #ABW—, finds me too slow on Beach Drive; frantically tries to pass right or left; chooses left, only to pass the next car on the right…only to end up in the same spot as I, as she was unable to pass the next three cars. She turned up away from the ferry. That is wreckless, insane driving–so many bicyclists, walkers, etc.
