I am new to WS and need a Keg for a housewarming we will be hosting next weekend, any local suggestions?? Also, Why are we unable to post to the Facebook West Seattle Blog page? It seems like that would be a bit simpler, just curious.

try the deli mart on 35th and Barton. They also have one of W.S.’s best beer selection.

While not technically West Seattle, Big Al’s in White Center is a great place to buy beer. As for Facebook, make sure you are using the “WS Blog” page, it allows comments. Best of luck and welcome to West Seattle!

Check if Elliot Bay Brewing in the junction does kegs. Their beer is awesome and totally local!

EBB does do kegs. Also second the vote for Super Deli Mart on 35th and Barton. you can also head to Georgetown and get a keg of Manny’s.

The Beer Junction will have kegs once they open.

That’s my kind of housewarming party.

    Welcome to the neighborhood.

Re: FB, as noted above, we use WS Blog, not the West Seattle Blog group page. FB was very confusing when we joined a couple years ago – things are still fairly convoluted but getting a bit better. We may migrate it all to a “fan,” er, I mean “like” page eventually, but the current format works pretty well. We post highlighted news links from WSB there as well as breaking-news alerts, lost pets (had a big reunion today), and more, and some folks choose to post to the wall there too.
