JayDeeParticipantSwamp cooler. Wet clothes, fan = evaporative cooling.

anonymeParticipantI just know I really didn’t appreciate working 6 hours in the blistering sun, only to wait more than 40 minutes for a C-line, missing my connection, and spending a Metro hour and a half to get home – a distance of less than two miles. And no, I can’t walk or bike, although I’m beginning to think that I might be able to do an uphill belly crawl home faster then Metro.

JanSParticipantI have looked with more envy at times at those sit down electric scooter thingies…not that I need one, but it sure does beat walking in the heat. We could all get one, for a club, have races…they even go over the low bridge to 1st Ave. and downtown…if they hold a charge that long – lol….

anonymeParticipantJan, sounds good to me! You could mount a little fan on the dashboard. I’ve often wished a could get a Cushman for use around West Seattle, if for no other reason than it would drive the speedaholics CRAZY.

trickycooljParticipantYou stay in your bedroom with the door shut and the blinds drawn folding 2 weeks worth of laundry watching Netflix in front of your new 12,000 btu dual hose portable AC from Amazon that got delivered last Tuesday. Bliss. Side effect, it was much faster to get dressed for work this morning. :)

PangolinPieParticipantTrickycoolj, sounds like you live up to your name! :)

JoBParticipantand i was going to suggest the Endura Cool multi-cool headpiece/neck collar at Lowes..
$20 on sale and worked for both humans and dogs
not as good as an AC unit.. but then what it?

anonymeParticipantThanks for the reminder – I keep forgetting to put on my dog’s old Koolaroo collar. On myself, that is.
