JoBParticipantIt turns out that Diners, Drive-ins and Dives is driven by fan requests… you can ask for your local favorite.. and they are more likely to feature a joint that is frequently requested.
they are also more likely to feature a joint if there are several requests for more than one place in the same general location..
So.. what local joints would we like to see on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives?
I have already made a bid for a write in campaign for Hey Paison! in Burien on another thread.. but who else would we love to see featured?
suggestions?

JanSParticipantZippys should maybe make that list.

JoBParticipantJamS..
Zippy’s is the right kind of place but as much as i love them, i am not so sure their menu is adventuresome enough …
Full Tilt has the combination of menu and attitude that would make a great segment ..
And the swinery if they had any sit down eating space…

bsmommaParticipantPepperdocks??? Lots of history there and it’s been around forever! OR Luna Park? Maybe Spuds…. or all of the above!

FullTiltParticipantI second Luna Park, though I think they have been on it. Oh, and yes vote Full Tilt.

LaconiqueMemberFullTilt, if you guys get on the show, you have to promise to steal that dude’s stupid sweat band that he wears on his arm. Please.
December 16, 2009 at 1:59 am #684148
FullTiltParticipantHe actually wears that for his kid.

Garden_nymphMemberI suggest Zippy’s burgers, Full Tilt ice cream and Sun Fish for scallops and chips! None are diners, dives or drive-ins, but they all offer excellent food and are part of what makes West Seattle a great place for food!

LaconiqueMemberArrrgh. Great, now I’m a jerk. But it’s still stupid looking. :)
December 16, 2009 at 10:04 pm #684151
sunshineParticipantThe Alki Tavern, of course. The dive bar with the world’s best view!
December 16, 2009 at 10:50 pm #684152
FullTiltParticipantNot as stupid looking as his hair.
December 17, 2009 at 12:40 am #684153
LaconiqueMemberActually, he wears his hair like that in honor of his father, who was killed by Billy Idol. True story.

JenVMemberTHAT. WAS. AWESOME. made even more so by the fact that I am at this very moment listening to Billy Idol. Laconique, I want to buy you a scoop of ice cream.

girltraceyMemberI think Skylark qualifies as a dive. And it’s a themed dive. They serve tater tots with cheese and gravy. The low-brow version of poutine. Perfect for Guy’s show.

dhgParticipantI’ma callin’ yer bluff, Laconique
