West Seattle Thriftway is Hiring, Floral Designer, Line Cook, Cashiers

LINE COOK:
We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to exact specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the team and team leader with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and overall goals.

Responsibilities Include:
– Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
– Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
– Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
– Answer, report and follow team leader / department manager’s instructions
– Clean up station and take care of leftover food
– Stock inventory appropriately
– Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
– Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
– Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements:
– Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
– Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
– Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
– Must be 18 years or older
– Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays

FLORAL DESIGNER
As a floral designer you are responsible for caring for indoor and outdoor plants/flowers, creating bouquets and floral arrangements and assisting the floral manager as is requested.

– Prior floral design experience is a plus.
– You must be 18 years old or older.
– Have a strong eye for design.
– Have a friendly attitude and desire to work with the public.
– Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
– Be prompt, reliable and responsible.

Cashiers

As a cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers.

– Must be 18 years old or older.
– Strong customer service, multitasking and problem solving skills.
– Have a friendly attitude and a desire to work with the public and in a team environment.
– Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
– Be prompt, reliable and responsible.
