We may debate here in our little jewel community within this city, but at our highest level of political fervor, the most damage that may occur is hurt feelings, and arguments.

This AP news story just in from North Carolina:

That was despicable and I hope the end of it.

And this says something about us in West Seattle as a community, in comparison to the political discourse in other states, it feels good to be here.

I saw that – am I missing some sort of relevance with the bear (I mean as opposed to a baby, ugh, donkey or something)? Horrid.

Sounds like your average exurban stupidity, I think invoking some sort of deeper political meaning other than the fact they had piles of Obama signs laying around gives too much credit to what are probably just garden variety bear cub shooting cretins.

Also, our GOP kin in West Seattle are typically way to sensitive and cry at the slightest provocation.

I have been to that area and outside of Ashville is a little on the scary side. Many are are bigots and happy to tell you to your face. I have no idea what relevance the bear has other than it is bear season.
