We have new neighbors who moved in two weeks ago. We met them briefly on their move in day. On Saturday they invited us over for a visit in the evening.

We wanted to take a welcome gift and I think we came up with a great idea which you might want to use. We stopped by for two pints of Full Tilt ice cream (Vegan Pumpkin in case they didn’t do dairy, and Salted Caramel). We also gave them a Full Tilt punch card and stopped in at The Proletariat for a menu. We decided that newbies needed to know about two of the many fine (and generous!) businesses in the area.

Our new next door neighbors were pleased; and of course, who doesn’t like pizza and ice cream?

Oh, and we also referred them to Wyatt’s for some jewelry help!

That’s really sweet. And thanks for mentioning a sponsor :) Anybody remember the “Welcome Wagon” way back when?

A little-known West Seattle fact – the Fauntleroy Community Association makes and gives “welcome baskets” to new residents in their zone. Although I doubt they include pizza and ice cream!

Thanks TR. For clarity; we only took the new neighbors ice cream. We took the Proletariat menu as a “teaser.”

We were asked if Proletariat delivers and I didn’t know the answer to that.

i have fallen down on the welcoming thing lately..

but it think a new neighbors “handbook” is a great idea… it’s what i originally came to WSB to find:)

Nicely done flowerpetal. We have a set of new neighbors. Perhaps I can get Full tilt to make some crema or tuna flavored ice cream for their fabulous cat, Mr. (or Ms.) Nipples.
