I scrolled back through all the posts in the Reader Recommendations section, but only found one watch repair-related post, from about a year ago. Thought I’d see if there’s any updated and/or additional info on the topic.

My watch is in need of a new battery (…I hope. It may have finally just died after years of use and abuse.), desperately needs to be cleaned, and I could use a couple links removed, too. (WooHoo, weight loss!)

If I can find a reputable place with a reasonable turnaround, that’d be great. If not, I guess I’ll just go on the hunt for a new watch. My cell phone, which had been my back-up source of keeping time, went tits up this morning, too, so I’m feeling a bit out of sorts.

    Thanks in advance!

There’s one around the corner from Cupcake Royale on Alaska. It’s near Swee Swee and a hairstylist (I believe). He’s pretty good – fixed my watch for $3 the other week. He now has odd hours though.

Oh, I think I know exactly where you’re talking about. I’m headed to the Junction in a bit, so I’ll have to swing by and check it out. Thanks, Kimberley!

Thanks, again, for that recommendation, Kimberley. I took my watch in to the shop (whose name I completely forgot to get… it’s on the very corner though, sort of across from The Rocksport and has a sign that mentions Watch Repair and Jewelry) and they replaced the battery and removed a link in about 15 minutes for under $15. Hooray!
