queseraMemberThank you to everyone who has e-mailed with tips, possible sightings, and offers to help. I hate to say it, but at this point, we are losing hope. She has been gone long enough that if she is not in someone’s home, she has likely passed away. I don’t want to think that she died alone, but I also don’t want to think that someone would be cruel enough to not return her. We will continue to check the animal shelter and keep our eyes and ears open.
The warmth of the West Seattle community has been very appreciated during this ordeal!

guidosmomMemberI am so sorry quesera. :( My heart has been breaking every time I read that she has not been found. I really hope she has been found by someone who does not read the forums, and that you will have her returned in no time. I am so sorry. :(

queseraMemberThank you. We are checking a few more shelters, keeping the signs up, and checking web sites. We heard that kids were sharing about her on Twitter, which is great. If someone does have her, hopefully they return her. She needs medication and there is no way anyone wants her as much as we want her back.

kayoParticipantI am so sorry. We have a very geriatric dog as well and they are so sweet. Ours wandered off one day through an inadvertently opened gate and we felt very fortunate that animal control found him and returned him before something bad could happen. What happened to you with your dog reminds me of the book Old Coyote (Nancy Wood) which is a beautifully written picture book about an Old Coyote who travels off by himself when he is ready to leave this world. The last paragraph describes him lying down and dreaming of his family and all his past adventures and finally dreaming himself into a whole new world. I can’t read it without crying. It is sure hard to watch these pets age. Anyway, hugs to you. I am so very sorry for what must be a very stressful time of worrying and wondering.

DelridgeResidentMemberI’m so sorry you haven’t found your dog yet. I also have a geriatric dog and couldn’t imagine how hard this would be. You and your family are in my thoughts and I will still keep an eye out around town just in case!
