queseraMemberI know we’re supposed to post in lost pets (I did), but I know more people read the general forums. I’ve had this dog half of my life and am very worried about her.
Our 16-year-old cattle dog/collie mix is missing. She is very old, losing her sight and hearing, and would not be able to defend herself from other dogs or coyotes. Because she may be easily disoriented, it is hard to search for her.
PLEASE keep an eye out for her, especially if you’re near Schmitz Park. If you see her, please call 206-235-9182.
If you hit this dog with your car or otherwise don’t want to identify yourself but know what happened to her, please anonymously e-mail rwenzel@antioch.edu.
Thank you

jwwsParticipantis she chipped? please do not give up hope, the WSB is a great platform to get lost pet info out to the WS public. We live above Schmitz Park and will certainly keep an eye out for her! Hoping you have a happy reunion soon, and remember to check all local vets, animal shelters and animal control frequently.

queseraMemberThanks! All of the vets in West Seattle, plus the 24-hour emergency clinic up north, know we’re looking for her. I just really hope someone is holding onto her

queseraMemberThank you for keeping this up!
I got a call today that she may be as far from home as 35th and Webster. If it was our dog, she approached a couple of other dogs out for walks, but didn’t want to be caught. If you see her, please call and we will come catch her! 206-235-9182

shed22ParticipantOh, I hope this narrows down the search, leading to a successful reunion!

sassyMemberWill keep an eye out – sounds like she has made her way up the hill from Lincoln Park into Gatewood. Loads of dogs & walkers here – she will be found soon no doubt.

queseraMemberIf anyone does see her, she is much more likely to approach and allow herself to be caught by a woman. She can be afraid of some men.

Talaki34ParticipantIt is hot outside, so everyone keep looking. If you have a pool or something else that holds water, keep an eye on it. Look under shrubs and other areas that provide shade. Keep a good smelling snack handy too. Might help entice her over since she has to be getting very hungry.
Hoping she is found soon.
