gnomes in the gardenMemberI would love the boxwood and wineberry plants! How big are they, will I need anything larger than a shovel to dig them up? Please email me:

anonymeParticipantAdd a 3′ Pacific Ninebark, and a sad little Aucuba japonica to the free list. This list may keep growing and growing…just like these damn plants.

anonymeParticipantWineberries, Aucuba, and ninebark are gone or spoken for. Still have some cheap but awesome small trees, etc. Free rhodie still available, 4’x4′ pale pink (almost white) flowers with speckled throat.
You’re also welcome to the Labrador violet, Carex ‘Frosted Curls’, rush, & Toad flax that have taken over my yard.

KatherineLParticipantWhat kind of toadflax? The Dalmation and Yellow Toadflaxes are invasive pests. Dalmation is a Class B noxious weed, control required in King County. Yellow Toadflax is a Class C, control recommended, pest. Pictures here: http://www.ag.ndsu.edu/pubs/plantsci/weeds/w1239w.htm

anonymeParticipantKatherine, it’s Linaria purpurea, purple toadflax. Spreads like crazy, but it’s not on the noxious weed list…yet.

KatherineLParticipantThanks for clarifying that, anonyme.
