gmabettyParticipantIn the last day or so I read something regarding the final Public meeting regarding bus changes, etc, is to be held somewhere on Delridge but can’t remember where or when, time. Does someone know about this? As a bus rider who may be effected plus a couple friends, we would like to attend. I believe it was this weekend. Can anyone help me?

miwsParticipantHi Betty.
Could it be the West Seattle Transportation Coalition’s Meeting on Tuesday Jan 14th at the Youngstown Cultural Center?
Here’s a link to WSTC’s announcement on their Facebook Page:

metrognomeParticipantgmabetty — the WS Transportation Coalition held their final ‘Listening Tour’ event this past Sunday the 29th at Uptown Espresso on Delridge.
Metro and/or the city should be holding more meetings before the cuts are phased in. I’m sure any meetings about the transit cuts will be announced on the WSBlog homepage.

WSBKeymasterAnother good one coming up – Metro will be the featured guest(s) at the January meeting of the North Highline Unincorporated Area Council, which is the community council for White Center, Top Hat, etc. Bus routes that go through there go through here in many cases, and vice versa, so if you have something to say or ask, I know you would be welcome. We cover the NHUAC meetings for our site White Center Now and like the community activists on this side of the city-limits line, they’re good people, volunteering their time and energy to help and improve their community. 7 pm Thursday, January 9th, at the North Highline fire station, 1243 SW 112th, not too far south of WS … Tracy

gmabettyParticipantWith the hectic holiday thing going on I didn’t get the message about Delridge meeting in time. We may come if can get there by bus. We’re in Highpoint. Our big concern is the 21 and 128 cuts. Have heard nothing specific. A lady at the Westwood stop told me the 21 would only do Express runs. Our area doesn’t have nearby access to Rapid Ride. We need some definite information.

gmabettyParticipantHow long does your meeting last? May have to schedule an Access van and have to give return pickup time to do so.

WSBKeymasterGMA – until and unless the cuts become DEFINITE, the information does not get any more specific than what we have reported. The first round, if necessary, would happen in June, the county says. The list is in this story we published December 10th (middle of the story):
Metro-cuts timetable: West Seattle faces not just deepest cuts, but also first ones
Then, starting later in the year – potentially September – there could be more.
