Too Many Catalogs

I shop quite a bit via the internet which means I’ve ended up on a lot of mailing lists for catalogs. I really hate the waste, dumping them straight into the recycle box without even looking at them.

So I wanted to mention for those like me who want to cut down on the 20 pounds of catalogs they receive in the mail every week that there is a website http://www.catalogchoice.org where you can decline them. (It’s free.)

I signed up about 2 months ago and it has really cut down on the amount of catalogs I get.

Giving it a try–I swear I get 4 Pottery Barn catalogs a month! And they get placed straight into the recycle bin.

I hear you Gina with Pottery Barn; PB Kids, PB Teens, PB blah, blah blah.

And Orvis with their dog catalog.

Only a few of the companies I’ve opted out through Catalog Choice have declined to participate, and then I call the 1-800 number provided to opt out.

i won’t get on the list.. but i think i will check out the website…

i know… :)

people like me are why these catalogs flourish:)
