Your cat has miraculously crossed California Ave in the middle of the Alaska Junction I don’t know how many times now, to be retrieved by kind and caring citizens and returned to you. Your phone does not even go to voice mail, leaving Miles either stranded or at the mercy of people to return him to his home (address on tag). One day this beautiful boy will not come home…

Maybe it’s time for a new home for Miles. Owner of Miles–are you willing to surrender him so someone can adopt him?

if I were concerned about the animal I would talk to the owner in person and not through a diaguised online persona intruding evidently without information?

Anonymous bullying – that is what it might look like to people.

Not a great strategy to garner support. Imho.

Try talk in person rather than this back-handed passive-aggressive posting amidst the forum gossips.

    We’ve been flagged to this.

Please do not take this any further. Even what has been posted so far is an invitation to the next person who finds this cat (since you have made note of its name) to just keep him, if they happen to have seen this and therefore believe it’s a neglected cat.

Personally, I support keeping cats inside. (Our 13-year-old cat, who happens also to be named Miles, is 100 percent indoors, and has never even accidentally been outside in the 8 years since we adopted him.) Too many dangers. Nonetheless, there is no law against cats roaming, and the next step here could be public shaming of ANY pet owner.

Sounds like the OP knows who Miles’s person is. Please take it up with them directly. I hope they listen to you, but it’s not a conversation to have here in the virtual town square. A general discussion of outdoor vs. indoor? Go right ahead.
