JeraldParticipantWondering if groups still collect Thriftway receipts to get a percent-back donation. Can’t find any current information. I’ve been saving receipts for a little while.

jissyParticipantYes they do, Jerald….. I have just popped by the Food Bank to drop them off and have also seen a collection basket in the lobby of the Fauntleroy Y recently.

wsmama3ParticipantLots of schools do to – you could ask a neighbor with kids (or drop them off!).
STEM does for sure! The % Thirftway graciously donates goes to the PTA.

hollyplaceParticipantGatewood Elementary collects them too. There is a box just outside the office. Anybody can drop them off. Thriftway is great and we appreciate them supporting local schools and the food bank.

gmabettyParticipantOur building collects them for our West Seattle Food Bank at 35th & Morgan.
Didn’t know there were other programs for them. That’s great.!

gmabettyParticipantUntil this blog I only new about the food bank part.
They get 1% of every receipt total from Thriftway to use for the food bank. We have a small collection box in our lobby which I turn in every month or two.
As a side issue, if Metro procedes with plan to cut the 128 bus through High Point our collection will drop.

gmabettyParticipantTo be more specific, Thriftway will give 1% of each of their receipt totals for our Food Bank to purchase for their use. Maybe that sounds better?

JeraldParticipantThanks! I wonder if I put them in a ziploc bag and dropped them in the food bank box at Thriftway. They could go along with the food donations.(?)
