JeannieParticipantThanks for the link! This was very clever. Definitely gave me a smile.
Things I’d like to see the last of (besides the obvious, as in crappy economy, awful presidency):
1. The inappropriate use (actually overuse) of the words “diva” and “epic.” Britney is not a diva.
2. The term “reach across the aisle” unless they’re referring to friends reaching over to shake hands in a house of worship.
3. Use of “liberal” as a derogatory term. And we promise not to use “right-wing wacko reactionaries” as a compliment or a disparagement.
4. Ubiquitous pundits. Smarmy pundits, shrill pundits, pompous pundits – all pundits. Think of the money saved! We don’t need them to interpret the news for us. We can figure it out ourselves, thank you.
Happy 2009!

DuckitudeMemberHi All: Ducky New Year! Just wanted to share my youtube video of the now “infamous” West Seattle Duckies… if you haven’t seen the New Year’s display at the Ducky Cottage south of Lowman Beach Park, check this pic of it before it got placed out in the rain… the disco ball is still turning!

Link to video: Warning, this can be taken as a serious commentary by the duckies, but, actually, it is all about growing our sense of humor to deal with the unpredictable 2009… I call that kind of imperviousness to rain with some added fortitude “duckitude.” Go figure….

JeannieParticipantNow “Have Yourself a Ducky Little Christmas” is running through my head. Which is not necessarily a bad thing.
