New owners Marty and Lisa have made a major change to the Cask. The chef position has been eliminated and the only food they now serve is a cheese & meat plate and a hummus plate. More like a tavern with bar snacks than a restaurant.

that’s a shame. One of the things I loved about the Cask with Rochelle and Matt was the very good food in a great place, with great atmosphere. It won awards as a great wine bar. Now it’s ordinary. I’ve stopped going, it’s no longer on my list.

They have live music. Sean and Dee never had food except for a couple things like what Marty is doing now. Rochelle left to have a baby 8 month’s ago. When Brooke and Drew put in a kitchen the food was nice, then when Matt left Willie kept it up. New owner now. My point is they support live music. It’s a small little place but nice for the neighborhood.

I saw this coming.

I am glad they support live music

and the night hubby and i stopped for dinner we were looking forward to live music and food

we got neither.

needless to say we ate elsewhere

and won’t be back.

it was great while it lasted.

We go there for the drinks and live music though we wish they had the basic menu back. I received an email/Facebook update earlier this week that they have pizzas now and have the meatballs back. I get the sense they are retooling the menu

We had the same disappointment visiting the Cask.

The changes have caused us to drop it from our list.

Fond memories of Matt and Rochelle, though. If they drop by here, let us know your plans.

without the good eats, it’s just another bar…not worthy of its previous awards under other ownership/management
