funkietooParticipantAnyone interested in pooling our leftovers to provide a hot ‘after T-day’ meal to some hungry people? I’m starting to brainstorm and hopng there are a few Others out there that will help. Menu could be as simple as turkey veggie soup, hot coffee and a salad.

funkietooParticipantSeaopgal. Thank you! Yep, have a place in mind. And a way to get the word out to those that will be thrilled to have a hot meal.
I’m thinking the Saturday after Thanksgiving so if people want to make turkey soup or sandwiches, they have time to do so. Your thoug

SueParticipantTo whoever is organizing this, when you reach out to people to let them know about the meal, do mention the free meal at The Hall at Fauntleroy on Thanksgiving as well, so they’ll have the opportunity to get a hot meal twice that week in West Seattle.
November 19, 2014 at 5:03 pm #819159
seaopgalParticipantJust bumping to keep this on the main board.
November 19, 2014 at 7:16 pm #819160

Very nice of you to sponsor.
How will you get the word out and attract people
I have generally gone to under bridges or low income areas and such to find people

LisaParticipantI’d like to do what I can to help serve/prep/clean! Let me know when / where and I’ll be there!
November 20, 2014 at 5:19 pm #819162
mcmullekParticipantfunkietoo, please let me know if you need any logistics help. We’ve had dinner guests cancel, so I’m finding myself with some time on my hands!
November 22, 2014 at 6:12 am #819163
LisaParticipantA wee Bump and looking for more info on whether there is a plan in place?
November 22, 2014 at 9:31 pm #819164
funkietooParticipantThanks everyone! Been working long hours so not posting as often.
We have a private location and a person to spread the word to those that are homeless, without transportation and need a good meal. We will be feeding approximately 15 -20 people. I have tables we can set up in order to serve the food. Does anyone have a pop up canopy or two–just in case it is rainy that day?
Please email me at furryfaces@hotmail.com and I’ll get a distribution list going. If you have ideas, please share those too! This is a collaboration. ;0)
