charlabobParticipantThe handy person left the back door ajar and this morning a thinner, but wiser, spot showed up at the foot of the bed. As if he’d never left.

WSMomParticipantYES! I’ve been following the Spot updates and hoping for a happy ending!! Wonder where that crazy cat has been hiding these past weeks??
December 30, 2010 at 5:47 pm #712662
moxilotMemberNow I can go back to hoping to see a “Minty came home!” post. (crossing fingers)
December 30, 2010 at 5:58 pm #712663
KatherineLParticipantThis made my day. Wonderful news
December 30, 2010 at 6:02 pm #712664
flowerpetalMemberMy grandfather taught us a little ditty:
“The cat came back,
He never went away.
He was sitting on the front porch
The very next day.”
Glad to read that the handyman’s error worked out to be in the Charlabob’s favor.
December 30, 2010 at 6:38 pm #712665
EmmyJaneParticipantWow, FABULOUS!! So happy to hear about Spot. “What, you were looking for me? I knew what I was doing all along.”
December 30, 2010 at 7:41 pm #712666
furryfacesParticipantHappy New Year! So glad Spot came home!
December 30, 2010 at 7:44 pm #712667

December 30, 2010 at 8:46 pm #712668
charlabobParticipantThanks to all of you for your support and help — especially (and always) Pamela and Morebo. Crazy cat ladies really are special people :-)
December 30, 2010 at 8:51 pm #712669
elikapekaParticipantOh, that’s great! Just the news I was hoping to hear. I wish he could tell us where he’s been.
December 30, 2010 at 8:56 pm #712670
miwsParticipantSee Spot mysteriously disappear.
See Spot stay away for over two weeks.
See Spot return Home, as mysteriously as he disappeared.
See happy times at the Charla/Bob/Katsky House!
Yay Spot!

December 30, 2010 at 9:24 pm #712672
charlabobParticipantSpot just got back from Lien animal — he survived the indignity of shots and got a clean bill of health. Next? A cat bath! Folks at Lien were wonderful (as many of you have said.) Here’s hoping this is the beginning of a homecoming parade of cats (Franci!), dogs and chickens.
December 30, 2010 at 9:28 pm #712673
cathywMemberYAY! So happy for you. What a surprise it must have been! I can only imagine your reaction.
December 30, 2010 at 9:35 pm #712674
celeste17ParticipantDid you give Katsy a good lecture (along with many hugs) about leaving the confines of the house and yard? are you going to fit electronic bell to warn you when he is thinking of running away again?
Glad he is back!
December 30, 2010 at 9:43 pm #712675
charlabobParticipantHe’s not an outdoor cat (and he’s declawed) — makes it much more amazing that he survived. The vet said he’s obviously an alpha cat — duh, just ask roada and noam — they knew it all along.
We did get collars and tags for everyone; even though they don’t go out, just in case — Mostly hugs, very few lectur4es yet.
December 30, 2010 at 9:55 pm #712676
SueParticipantI’m thrilled he came home – I don’t know what I’d do if my furry little guy went missing. Happy New Year indeed!
December 30, 2010 at 11:57 pm #712677
cathywMemberWe have gates at both the front and back doors to keep our two cats from darting outside. It’s a hassle and not very attractive but there is no other way we can keep them inside. One of them has been an outdoor cat in the past, and she hates having to stay indoors. At times she sits near the door and cries to go out. I feel bad for her. But with raccoons living in the backyard and coyotes in our alley, we just don’t want to take a chance. Really too bad.
December 31, 2010 at 12:08 am #712678
flowerpetalMemberWow, I’m surprised your kittys don’t jump those gates. Good for you for looking out for their best interests.
December 31, 2010 at 1:20 am #712679
justcuzMemberThat is FANTASTIC – wish he could tell us all about his adventure!
January 1, 2011 at 4:23 am #712680
JoBParticipantI can just see an impatient spot katsky stopping by regularly to see if you had thought to open the door for him yet ;-)
