WSBKeymasterSorry, since we don’t require log-in for comments (I am militantly opposed to that, and I apologize for the forum function not being able to work without having an account), I don’t believe it will.
Speaking of which, I wanted to call everyone’s attention to one glitch on the Ignore feature, and it’s a bug that has not been fixed in the current version, but we didn’t want to wait forever to finally launch it once we did the underlying software upgrade. (And thanks to the member who experienced this and e-mailed me, which reminded me I needed to mention it.)
If you click ignore on the last post in a thread – the whole thread will disappear, even if the user you want to ignore didn’t start the thread. Since deciding to “ignore” is a fairly major action anyway, either go find something else by the person in question and click the feature there, or wait until there is one more post in the thread in question, before you click ignore.
Sorry about that, hope it eventually will be fixable in a future rev but in the meantime, Ace Tech Guy is drawing up an error page that you should see if you accidentally trigger this – the thread will return to your screen, albeit with the user you wanted to ignore, once you go to the “edit my profile” page and un-check the username.

Robotic PenguinMemberThere is currently no “delete” avatar option yet sadly. For now, just create a 1×1 pixel white image and replace your avatar with that image. I’ve attached one here for convenience:

Just visit that URL, go to File>Save As, and upload that picture as your avatar.
Alternatively, if you want to just change your avatar, upload a new one ontop of the old one and it’ll disappear.

WSBKeymasterThe log-in/log-out problem should now be fixed – if anyone still experiences it, let us know – when you sign in, check “remember me” and you should stay logged in unless you log out or clear cookies …

I love giraffes. The one in my avatar is from Woodland Park. I got to feed him and wasn’t at all embarrassed being the only grown-up there without a kid for cover.
Eddie Izzard has a great evil giraffe sketch, too.

WSBKeymasterOne more new feature as of this afternoon.
In the edit/delete/ignore line below each post, you should see PM This User (this too was requested by somebody sometime back).
That enables you to send a private message to the member who made that post, if you want to (this should be helpful for freebies/deals/sales type of things, as long as the member checks his/her PMs – you’ll probably want to say in your post “check your private messages, I left you one”).
You’ll know if you have any private messages by scrolling past the “Latest Discussions” list to the “Views” list — it’ll say whether you have new messages, and if so, click that link and it will lead you to your mailbox.

SUN LATE NITE UPDATE: Even better, Ace Tech Person has tweaked the feature so that if you have a new private message, you’ll see that at the TOP of the main forum page – click on it to go to your private-message inbox.
