Is there a good singles bar in West Seattle? Just moved into the area and looking to get out this weekend, sat & sun night.

    Thanks

pick a bar, there will be single people there. If you’re looking for a place to “hook-up”, good luck with that.

Hey westseattleite10, how YOU doin :) I don’t know much about this stuff but you will more likely find what your looking for in the belltown area. There are probably some spots around California/Alaska at least in terms of numbera of bar/resturant. Maybe just start at the north end and work your way down. Good luck on your mission impossible. You might consider buying a three legged dog as your wing man or if you have tonights winning lotto ticket there might be some hope. Just be sure to pickup the poop

Hi WestSeattleite10, welcome to West Seattle!

I don’t know if there is much in the way of singles bars in West Seattle. We’re a little bit insulated so people tend to go out with people they know and, in a lot of places, don’t do much in the way of mingling. That being said, it’s not totally dire. Knowing your age range and specific interests will help to make informed suggestions – karaoke, live music, sports bar, cocktails vs wine, vs beer, quiet venue vs noisy? I enjoy having dinner and a few drinks in the bar at Maharajah (it’s off to the side down a long hall when you enter the restaurant) and do chat with people there on occasion. They have a very eclectic range of patrons based on which day of the week and time of evening you’re there. There’s live music in the Admiral district at the Shipwreck Tavern. I haven’t been there so can’t comment on the atmosphere, patrons, or the music, but it’s worth checking out. Yen Wor, also in the Admiral is your karaoke destination, just don’t try the food. I met my boyfriend of 3.5 years when I was having dinner by myself at the bar of Jak’s Grill. He was also dining alone and I struck up a conversation with him. I’ve usually found it very easy to strike up a conversation with people sitting at the bar at Jak’s more than at any place else. Great beer selection? Try Beverage Place Pub in the Morgan Junction. Hidden gem for beer and wine with cool music? The Cask on California in the Admiral district. I could go on…

Give us an idea of what you’re looking for and you’ll get some more targeted suggestions.

Don’t be discouraged WS10. There are plenty of folks in West Seattle looking for a hook up. Just go to Craigslist and search under casual enc– err… ummm… never mind.

I found this thread kinda interesting because you don’t really hear the term “singles bar” anymore do you? Nothing against the OP – looking for a special someone is a worthwhile pursuit. Good luck!!

Craigslist…thats a good one skeeter, made me smile and LOL a little bit.

From my little looking around so far will likely end up at Jaks or Matador for some tequila!

Other places with multiple tequila options – Cactus down at Alki (airy and bright place), and Mission in Admiral (uber dim lighting, dios de los muertos decor). Good food at both too.

I guess any bar can potentially be a singles bar, so don’t forget the Feedback Lounge (near Beveridge Place) or West 5 in the Junction.
