Semi on Fauntleroy & Avalon – took out hydrant and sign

Does anyone have any info on this incident at the intersection of Fauntleroy & Avalon? The driver took out a hydrant and there’s no water coming from it. Our office staff thought it was strange there was no water leaking from it?

Nobody alerted us to this incident – but we’ve run the explanation before of why hitting a hydrant doesn’t necessarily trigger a geyser. Will add the link if I find it. Was this reported to SDOT/SPU?

I was assuming so, the driver has been out there waiting for someone to show up for over an hour. If/when I see them show up I’ll update if needed. Thank you!!
