The past few months, we’ve randomly started receiving a Seattle Times “Style” section every single weekend in our driveway. It’s typically just filled with sale items at Safeway or some crap like that. Is there any way to get this stopped? It’s not addressed to me or “current resident” (and don’t think it’s delivered by USPS), so I can’t use anything like Paper Karma to stop it. I tried scanning the paper to see if there was a “stop delivery” notice, but didn’t see anything.

Anyone else getting this nuisance and was able to stop it?

It took persistence, but I was able to stop it. (This was a couple of years ago.) I think it was just customer service (customerservice@seattletimes.com) I contacted. I recall some runaround, but I was firm and polite and persistent, and the deliveries did eventually stop.

Also, I noticed Catalog Choice now has Seattle Times Saving Source listed, so you could just add them to your opt-out list that way, too.

I caught the delivery guy at o’dark thirty once and asked him to stop because I bought the paper every Sunday. It worked, my neighbours continue to receive it, but I don’t.

I only wish I could be removed from getting those stupid RedPlum bundles of recycling that show up in my mailbox every week. I did try their opt-out page, a couple of times now, with no luck. It’s like they just cut down trees to send me so I can toss them directly in the bin. Grrrr. :(

PangolinPie, it CAN be done! It took much persistence and determination and repeatedly reporting them for violations, but finally, I managed to get them stopped through Catalog Choice. I never had any luck with their “opt-out” page.
