After many decades it appears that Roxbury Auto Parts may have to close as may Mocha Mojo the espresso stand next to it. It seems the Seattle fire dept. did an inspection and determined it was below fire code. I have lived in this part of Seattle most of my life and have bought auto parts there for decades. I would hate to see this happen to a White Center icon.
Hi – that side of Roxbury in that area is outside the city limits, so SFD wouldn’t have jurisdiction, it would be the North Highline FD. 30th is where the boundary moves to the middle of Roxbury (except for the Holy Family pocket). What did the store say they were told was “not up to fire code”?- TR
I’m becide myself with this news. My dads favorite auto shop. Ive been going there every year to get my windshield wipers replaced. 30 plus years, every year, I drove there to have it done again this year just to find the notice on the door. Anyone know whats gonna happen?

The authorities have teamed up to handle the extra flux of people that have been filtering into the area. That building is very old. I drove around to the back the other day. It looks condemed..
