Reminder – WSB Forum casual meet-up Sept 16

September 16 (Wednesday) at 7pm at Uptown Espresso. 4301 SW Edmunds St(California & Edmunds)

We’ll be chatting about a variety of local-interest topics.

Please reply if you think you can make it. I’m just trying to get an idea of how much space we might need.

Thanks to the folks who showed up! We had a nice visit.

I can plan another event in a couple months. Or if someone else wants to plan something let us know!

To all who made it, a sincere apology – I had some other pressing engagements to address.

To those who I know from past meetups, a hearty “good to see you again!” – and sending a special shout out to JoB during her current medical situation. My thoughts and positive vibes are going out to you in this difficult time. You too, JanS. Love to you both.

To those I haven’t met, I look forward to the opportunity to do so in the future.

This rag-tag gang is important for me. I learn many new things and it sorta’ functions like Lincoln’s team of rivals in ensuring that I don’t get too entrenched in my own mindset and continue to process new information as it gets presented. I realize it probably doesn’t seem like that AT ALL to those who read my posts, but rest assured, that while I suspect a great deal, I KNOW very little. :-)

Blessings of the fall seasons to all of you. Cheers.

and without being there you hit the high point of our discussion last night on the head ;-)

this forum enriches our lives by allowing us a peek into the somewhat uncensored minds and hearts of those who don’t agree with us…

and in the process we all benefit.

thanks for the kind wishes. mochi and i are both doing better today. she is milking this for all the attention she can get.

    Thanks, wake!

I trust the hugs for skeeter and myself, are manhugs; the kind with the occasional slaps on the backs, and releasing before either one starts to enjoy it. ;-)

    Thanks Wake. We missed you!

I too enjoy these forums a lot. I don’t have a whole lot of time to post sometimes, but I enjoy reading everyone’s thoughts. Thank you all for sharing your time!

I had never met JTB (in person) before yesterday. What a treat to meet such an interesting fella. And always nice to see JoB and JanS of course.

I wish some of the lurkers, the newbies, those who don’t post often, or maybe disagree, would come to one of these varied meetups…face to face is so different, getting to really know the person aside from maybe disagreeing about politics on here…it changes things. People are more than what they write anonymously on a forum. As many of you know, JoB and I are good friends…because of these forums(fora? fori?lol). And last night after I got home i remembered the first time we met, and what we did that evening…and it was only 5 bucks!) And a friendship was born. (we went to see Madeliene Albright speak at Town Hall)

skeeter, JTB was at the Forum Picnic last year.

Unless you were there at different times?

(It seems like both of you were there a good chunk of the time).
