CarsonParticipantWalking the dog last night at 8ish I saw a SouthWest Plumbing truck parked near me at 38th and Stevens and thought wow, they are really working overtime, the truck had been there all day. Well at 3am I (and my wife, and the dog) were startled awake by a large, loud and brightly lit tow truck. It now seems the SouthWest truck was broken down. Who’s idea was it to use a huge tow truck at 3am in a quiet residential area? I know the bridge is an issue but come on. I know who is NOT the one to call in the future.

SueParticipantSo what I’m hearing you say is that if you break down in the middle of the night, no one should send a tow truck and instead make you wait until morning because it might disturb people?

CarsonParticipantThey didn’t break down in the middle of the night, the truck was there all day and all night, well at least until 3am.

CarDriverParticipantMaybe the tow truck was called but couldn’t show up until 3am.

CarsonParticipantI am sure they had a ton on reasons, none that says its ok to do at 3am. It wasn’t an emergency, if so that was quite a delay. Just a simple rant about a poor business practice.

aaParticipantIt seems our society is increasingly inclined to out people and businesses. Yes, the broken down truck was SW Plumbing, but was the tow truck the same company? Do you have any direct knowledge of who it was that ordered the tow truck at that hour? Is being woken up enough of a violation that it warrants naming a company and possibly effecting the financial stability of their business?

anonymeParticipantTow trucks show up whenever they want, seldom with any consideration for time of day or neighbors. I highly doubt that Southwest deliberately chose this time. This rant also violates the WSB rule about contacting a business directly for resolution before posting a rant.

mark47nParticipantSo, are you saying that people or companies cannot get their vehicle towed when it’s inconvenient for you?
Look, you live in a very populous region where things may be happening around the clock. If you don’t like this, that there may be noise outside when you don’t want it then I recommend that you relocate to a more rural locale or some variety of gated community with stringent CC&Rs.
