I suppose they are going to run out of meat again in the mad rush from the burbs to come eat what we already knew was a great burger ;~>

it couldn’t happen to a nicer group of people… at least this is happening during what would normally be a quiet season for them so it should be very good for business.

    Three cheers for Zippys…

i am gonna get over there today before the rush starts:)

TR is being modest. Also in Seattle magazine: West Seattle Blog – best neighborhood blog voted by readers’ choice.

Congratulations TR, Patrick and Jr. and all the WSB participants who make the blog what it is.

Thanks and especially indeed thanks to all participants — collaborators is our term, “readers” just doesn’t really apply, even to those who never comment or post; it’s a collaborative effort just the same! — One week from today marks one year to the day since I left TV news for good, and it really has been “for good” – every hour, every minute, even some of the dicey stuff behind the scenes that you guys never see (and believe me, there have been some doozies – there are some folks out there who just don’t want to see something like this succeed), it’s all quite the adventure.

I also have to look it up but I think the WSB Forums are about to celebrate their first anniversary – I know we launched in December of last year – so when you guys have the 12/14 party, you can even call it the WSBF First Birthday Party :)

Congrats TR, Patrick and JMOT! Also congrats to Zippy’s!

JanS can lead us in a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ on the 14th at the WSBF Bday Party.

First, of course, congratulations (AGAIN!!!) to Team WSB. You rock the blogosphere like nobody else ever has! Or, WILL!!! So Hip Hip Hooray to you three!!!! BTW, what is the official anniversary of your launch date? Folks might want to celebrate that too, yes?

    And, secondly:

Perhaps some musicians and/or dj’s will show up to provide some kind of accompaniment to what I’m sure are JanS and Erik’s mellifluous voices? Yes?

Congrats to Zippy’s and to the WS Blog. I found the blog completely by chance and have been a faithful reader and sometime poster to the forums ever since. I feel this is a valuable website and wish you the best of luck.

We have great burgers, great ice cream, a great restaurant and an amazing blog.

    i am torn.

    i am proud of us…

but afraid that too much recognition will draw the unwieldy masses…

Whats a loyal West Seattlite to do ?

oh, no, dood…that would be Erik singing solo…you don’t want to even hear me hum – lol…

JoB…we are great here…and there are still people who feel that we’re too far away to come to..so..we’ll just pretend that we’re keeping it on the down low ;-)

@JoB: considering how many of our friends say it’s “too far” to come visit us in West Seattle (meaning: all of them!) I’d say there is very little to worry about. :)

I just made all my friends move here, which is much simpler. As a matter of fact we are twisting the arm of friends in Bothel that would love to be here.

    Congrats WSB and Zippy’s

Zenguy..speaking of far away…the daughter made me take her to Bothell a couple of weeks ago to pick up a thing for her bf’s birthday. It was like driving to another world, and at rush hour yet…wow…and they didn’t even have street lights, yet thought enough to put huge speed bumps in where you couldn’t see them…nice…

I’ll take my little island, thank you very much :)

    i think technically.. we’re a peninsula… or more likely.. a point.

    West Seattle is a point.

    The possibilities there are endless.

Zenguy, Is it possible, that the reason for your friends apparent struggle with whether to move or not, is that they are still mulling over the “….for a day or for a lifetime” thing? ;-)

Well… I’m going to have to go in now. The post-Thanksgiving diet was supposed to start tomorrow, but… I can make an exception.
