Big Fat Rave to Mountains to Sound Outfitters. They were kind, straight forward, and very educational about some skis I had acquired for free from a coworker. Turns out they had been recalled several years back and coworker had no idea because they sat in his garage for 13(?) years. A different coworker insisted I take the skis to his favorite shop across town which I had gone to in the past and I caved in and got nothing but attitude. I KNEW I shouldn’t have strayed far from home!
Also do your research on used outdoor gear!! If someone has some spare stuff sitting around to just give away get the make and model and google it before you ever accept it! I got stuck with a year 2000 model of skis from a long past era of technology with a CPSC recall on the bindings, that could have resulted in serious injury or worse!! Thankfully I didn’t pay any money for these but if it had been Craigslist I would have been burned for sure!
