JoBParticipantThey came out yesterday…
hooked me up..
and we have been blazing since..
So much better than Clear (Clearwire) at it’s best.
To get the best deal.. you need to go to one of the Comcast sales stores or to a promotions booth… or ask me and i would be glad to give you contact info for the sales rep who set us up.
I wasn’t offered the $20 promo for 6 months followed by $54 at Comcast’s sales center unless i was an existing customer…
they came when they said they would.. did the job quickly and efficiently and i was trolling the internet when they left:)
We are happy campers… steaming video and all:)

voodooMemberI will add a rave to this. I know that Comcast gets a lot of gripes, so it’s only fair to tell the good stories, too.
I called Comcast the other day due to an interruption in our internet service. The woman who I spoke with was exceptionally helpful and patient, even when we realized the problem was due to our router (doh!).
After she walked me through getting it back online, she offered me 3 free months of faster service for free! Our internet is now 33% faster than previous. She said when the free trial period is coming to an end we will receive a notice and can decide then whether to discontinue.

austinMemberI got a call from comcast the other day trying to get me to pay them more for faster service. I didn’t have a chance to adequately argue my way into some kind of deal because I was trying to load the red ryder at the same time and accidentally hung up on the guy with my face.
It is nice to not have to hope the internet isn’t going to be screwy every time you want to use it though. I’m waiting for the day I can get the same speed and reliability as I get at home on a service I can take anywhere for the same price or better. Ha!

JoBParticipantaustin..
hubby got a 3G/4G modem sprint internet stick from work the other day… he really liked the service..
but sadly.. not as much as connecting to work via the comcast service we just set up.

flowerpetalMemberI have ranted aplenty about Comcast tv cable and what an awful experience that was. However, I have used Comcast for years for internet and have always been happy with it. Comcast phone service has been good too and problem free!

austinMemberI looked into comcast’s 3g/4g mobile broadband service and they’re actually running a package deal right now for home internet and mobile broadband for $55/month, which is pretty close to what I’m paying now for just internet (!). I called them and asked what was what and it turns out that the deal is only for New customers. If you’re already on the yoke its $90/month for both services. Doh. They gave me twenty bucks a month off for the next six months as a consolation, which as it turns out I’d rather have than a mobile internet stick anyway.

austinMemberI dunno, I’m from the internet and say it would be safer if it were faster. Someone’s going to put an eye out; fap related blindness due to slow streaming pr0n is up 3% this year alone.

austinMemberIt was supposed to be a joke regarding a thread about wanting to be able to drive faster on a street in west seattle started by the poster previous to me.
It was funnier on pot.

JoBParticipantLOL.. i often miss the point of jokes like this
i have always thought it was genetic
had an aunt who would politely laugh at jokes
then burst out laughing so hard she cried an hour later when she finally got it…
who knew pot could fix that:)
