I have been going to Angelina’s fairly often for their Friday eve happy hour. I am always so impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the warm environment, and the great happy hour food (I also think the have the best house salad around).
When they first “reopened” I was confused about why they kept the name when the old Angelina’s was bland and boring chain-restaurant Italian and the New Angelina’s is so GOOD. It turns out the couple that purchased it remember going to yet an older version of Angelina’s as children (with their grandparents) and they wanted to recreate that wonderful old West Seattle restaurant. After hearing that I totally understand keeping the name. Kudos to them!
