BIG RANT to the man who was running on 36th ave sw and Graham today around 1pm who held a leash while running, but did not have his dog on it. The dog appeared to be a pit-bull mix, and as it charged across the street towards me and my leashed dog, he said what so many people say, “don’t worry, my dog is friendly.” Well, mine is not so random dogs running at her will not have a good outcome. Not to mention that I have an extreme fear of loose dogs since I was a bit by one. I lifted my growling dog in my arms as he struggled to gain control of his. My extreme fear led me to use some pretty bad language with him, but he was a total jerk. Never did he say he was sorry, and in fact he ran away with his dog still off leash. 20 minutes later, my heart is still pounding out of my chest. How can a grown man be so clueless and careless?

That sounds awful, I’m so sorry that happened.

I know it’s cold comfort, but you were completely within your rights to ‘use some pretty bad language with him’ – and had you maintained composure and explained to him calmly all the reasons why what he was doing was a bad idea, it wouldn’t have made any difference in the outcome; he’s a self-entitled douche.

sometimes you just want the finger of G-d to come out of the sky, with words like “You pissed me off”…and a good jab to the offender :(
