FullTiltParticipantNew review up on the White Center Now site about the new Khmer cafe Queen’s Deli. Go check it out.

celeste17ParticipantSounds good. I will try it out sometime soon.

SueParticipantI can’t say I’ve ever heard a restaurant review that brought up the DKs before – now I’ve got the song running through my head!
Sounds like an interesting restaurant though that I’ll have to give a try. Thanks!

west seattle golferMemberTried it today based on the review FullTilt, thanks!
We had the beef satay, fresh spring rolls, a “short noodles” dish who’s name I forget, and a sampling of their doughnut like confections. Besides the noodle dish, everything was remarkable. The satay was the most flavorful I’ve had! And the “doughnuts” were unique and very tasty.

YorkieloverMemberI will have to agree!! The donuts are the best!! Oh, if you happen to love your beef with a bit more crispy bits on it, don’t hesitate to ask, they will do it with a smile and the beef is more mouth watering!

Garden_nymphMemberI cannot tell you how good it all sounds… I’ve GOT to try this place! Thank you Full Tilt for finding this place and letting us all know what a treasure it is.

No thanks.

JanSParticipantScottB…whatever are you prattling about? Full Tilt was the reviewer of the restaurant in the OP. PolPot just happens to be the name of the now unseated dictator guy in Cambodia…Full Tilt was just having a little fun, since it’s a Cambodian restaurant. There was nothing in his post about text flooding…you imagined it, I believe…

GenHillOneParticipantSerously dude (Scott)…wth? LOL
Full Tilt – this sounds great! I didn’t see it in time to take advantage of it yesterday, but it sounds like it’s right up my alley. Chili flavor without the heat is the BEST.
February 1, 2009 at 4:44 pm #656873
SueParticipantScott, in Full Tilt’s review he mentioned a Dead Kennedy’s song, and I replied above that it was stuck in my head all day after reading that … the PolPot reference is a line from the song.

datamuseParticipantI went to Cambodia during a vacation in southeast Asia a couple of years ago and, for my sins, had that song stuck in my head for the duration of the flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap. THANKS JELLO BIAFRA.
February 1, 2009 at 8:44 pm #656875
FullTiltParticipantSeriously Scott, unclench. It is a line from a Dead Kennedys song.

Not exactly an IRC flodd or DNS attack. It was a food review written on the sister blog to WSB, ran by the same folks. Take some time to read through a thread before sending up the attack flags.

soclwrkrinmotnMemberAfter reading all this, this comes to mind:
“Your mommy told you this
And your daddy told you that
Always think like this
And never do that
You learned so many feelings
But what is there to that
Which are really yours
Or are you just a copycat
…I’ve heard all this before”
It is a great place…after reading this, I walked over there for lunch.

JanSParticipantsocl….thanks for that…I am gonna try to get out there this week, myself…and then maybe stop for a couple of pints at Full Tilt :)
February 2, 2009 at 2:05 am #656878
ellenaterMemberThanks Full Tilt. I’m excited to try it. I’m FULL and it still sounds good. LMAO at the DK and Cambodia videos. Can so see that.

JoBParticipantFulltilt
thanks for introducing us to places we might never find on our own…
the chicken place in your last review was everything you promised… and the queen’s deli sounds even better.

AnonymousInactiveJanS and GenHillOne,
I don’t appreciate text floods. I provided a URL regarding text floods. It is not my fault if you don’t read the information that I provided.

Ugh. “Nice” choice of words for a restaurant reviewer.
Here is a quote of your post in its entirety:

GenHillOneParticipantI did not see a text flood, nor have I ever seen one here, or I would have found the information more relevant.
February 2, 2009 at 4:46 pm #656883
datamuseParticipantSome friends and I went to El Paisano’s for dinner last night. OMG so good! (Then we went to Full Tilt afterward because I’ve been raving about the place so much that they had to try it.)
None of us is going to need to eat for DAYS.
Will definitely be giving Queen’s Deli a try.

WSBKeymasterInsinuating someone is mentally ill is a personal attack that I won’t stand for. If you don’t agree with someone, go ahead and argue against their points but DO NOT MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT THE PEOPLE. I have been flagged and I’m removing the flagged posts.

PDieterParticipantthanks for the heads up on Queen’s. (I’m very sorry I missed the Filipino place)
I’m always on the search for traditional Cambodian food since I was introduced to it at funerals I attended in the late 80’s
So to that end Queens supplied supper bowl egg rolls yesterday (15 for $6) and they were a big hit. I so love Indo White Center.

AnonymousInactiveFullTilt,
Upon further review (football terminology for those who are not football fans), I have decided that I was in the wrong regarding my IRCish flood allegations. What I initially thought was a text flood was relatively short when it comes to text floods, and I was unaware that it was part of the lyrics for a Dead Kennedys song.
I liked the Dead Kennedys band a long time ago, but I have never been able to discern lyrics. I have good hearing, but for some reason I just cannot pick out what the lyrics are.
