    WSJA Program Coordinator
    Part-Time
    40-60 Hours per Month depending upon festival schedules
    $28.00 HR

    Plans and coordinates events, vendors, and programs for the West Seattle Junction Association, including fundraising, budgeting, bookkeeping, and community outreach.
    Develops and implements programs that align with the organization’s mission and support the organization’s goals.
    Creates program materials, establishes volunteer requirements, and ensures that the program achieves stated objectives.
    Identifies business mix and opportunities for incoming business owners.
    Hires key beer garden festival staff for organizational premiere event – Summer Fest.
    Will be responsible for special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community.
    Reports to the Executive Director.
    Some weekends and evenings required.

    Program Coordinator Responsibilities
    Planning and coordination of events, programs, and activities
    Ensuring the implementation of policies and practices
    Maintaining budget and tracking expenditures/transactions
    Act as liaison between potential incoming businesses and landlords

    Job Brief
    The West Seattle Junction Association, a BIA is looking for a competent Program Coordinator to undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks. You will help in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carry out operational and administrative duties assigned by the Executive Director.
    To be an excellent program coordinator, you must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with a diverse volunteer team, and able to communicate effectively under pressure.
    The goal will be to facilitate the effective management of programs according to the organization’s standards.
    Major programs include Summer Fest, Harvest Fest, monthly Art Walk, Hometown Holidays, Wine Walk, .5K, Night Market, PAWrade and other events as assigned.

    Responsibilities
    Support planning and coordination of significant programs, events and its activities
    Ensure the implementation of policies and practices
    Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions
    Manage communications through media relations, social media, etc.
    Help build positive relations within the organization and external parties
    Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda
    Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations
    Prepare paperwork and order material
    Keep updated records and create reports or proposals
    Support growth and program development

    Requirements
    Proven experience as a program coordinator or relevant position
    Knowledge of program management and development procedures
    Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping, and reporting
    Tech-savvy, proficient in MS Office
    Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams and volunteers
    Excellent time-management and organizational skills
    Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    Detail-oriented and efficient
    BSc/BA in business administration or relevant experience

    Hi folks, a quick Google trip to their website (WS Junction Blog gives two relevant bits of information: first, according to their blog the job posting closed back in December (December 10), second (and probably moot at this point) cover letter and resume should have been emailed to them at wsjunction@gmail.com.
