dustinParticipantYa, power flashed off for 2 seconds, came back on and then another second later a big boom. Hearing sirens.

MargLMemberInteresting – heard the sirens before I heard the BOOM! Figured it was just some idiot setting off fireworks – but it could have been a transformer.
When I saw the firetruck go down 104th but just figured it was a medical emergency.

LuckieParticipantWhoa! I was in Endolyne Joe’s, and suddenly all the lights went off for a few seconds. Interestingly, one of my table companions had just uttered the phrase “in the dark.” We now think she has supernatural powers.

TerriParticipantThere was a fire on the top of a power pole on 105th Street. The fire department responded very quickly (E37) and no sooner was the fire out and the fire truck gone, than a contractor was here and the power restored. All within an hour! The firemen said that there was a ‘fried’ bird on top of the pole that probably caused it to short out. Thank you E37 for your prompt and competent response. Also thank you to the city contractor for their quick work.

ToddinWestwoodMemberOUCH! That happened at our shop in Georgetown. Fried crow on top of the transformer. POP the whole shop went black.

HolyKowMemberThe city should put up a sig on top of the pole that reads:
TWEET (in red with the skull and XBones)
Tweet, chirp, tweet tweet.
Tweet, chirrrrrp…..,
CAW!
This is Seattle, let’s be sensitive to all creatures.
