changingtimesMemberSo we r looking to go away for the Christmas holiday just 2 nights somewhere close to Seattle. We wanted something like a log cabin with a fireplace and able to bring our dogs. But for some reason I’m having trouble finding something like that on the Internet. Does anyone have any good ideas? I’m open to all suggestions! I did find the one in Friday harbor that looked lovely and fit all my criteria but seemed like a huge mission to get to. I’m looking for something a little closer to the city :))) thank u in advance for your time and thoughts.

abstractParticipantNot sure if you could find something but we love going to the Lighthouse resort with our dogs. It is in Long Beach, WA. It is about a 3-4 hour drive from Seattle.
Dogs are allowed off leash on the beach. Our dogs LOVE sleeping by the fireplace after being on the beach all day.

addParticipantThere was a fairly recent thread about this – search the forums and hopefully it will come up because there were some great ideas shared!
We stayed in some condos on the beach in Westport – not a cabin, but cozy and several of them are pet-friendly. Right on the wide open beach, our dog had the time of his life! I think it’s called Vacations by the Sea.

JoBParticipantabstract..
the lighthouse was full last time i checked.
changing times..
there were lots of pet friendly condos in westport still open last week.
try home away under vacation rentals. they have an actual search engine that works.. highlight pet friendly before you give them dates..
vrbo also has a date specific search function.. but then you have to scroll down through all the little paws to find something that works:(

TDeParticipantKalaloch Inn, over on the coast… north of Quinault. Log cabins with fireplaces above the pounding surf. Used to be dog friendly.

Leah PParticipantI highly recommend at weekend getaway at Seabrook: http://www.seabrookwa.com/
We had the best time there with our dog… the beach is long, sandy, flat, and very private feeling. There are several pet-friendly cottages to rent in this town (all listings can be found on their website as they are centrally managed), and they have their own store, coffee, shop, park, and free bikes to ride around. Have fun!
