Our senior parents live in an independent-living apartment in a senior home in West Seattle. Dad is on hospice care and needs help getting up and dressed in the mornings and getting ready for and into bed in the evenings. Mom, who is Dad’s primary care giver, needs light household support, some meal prep during the longer morning shift, and wants to get out for a walk on some days while care giver is present.

We have caregivers for some mornings, though we might need more morning help in the future.

    Responsibilities include:
change external catheter bag, help a fragile senior walk, change clothes, and get into bed (lifting his legs onto bed); keep an eye out for problem areas like infections or bed sores, file toe nails; take out trash, wipe down surfaces, and if it’s in care givers wheel house, provide some hands-on light massage or foot baths for either parent on occasion.

If interested in any part of the above schedule, please reply to bibity1@yahoo.com with “Care Giver” in subject line, and let me know something about yourself and which schedule you are interested in. Thank you!
