addParticipantHi everyone,
I hope this is appropriate to post. I know many WSBers have participated in PEPS groups with their new babies. Well, now is an opportunity to give back! I received this notice from the Volunteer Manager at PEPS and they are desperate for group leaders in West Seattle. They actually have a backlog of new parents wanting to join a group but can’t accommodate them until they have enough volunteer leaders. Here is the message in it’s entirety. It is a wonderful experience to help other new parents – I led a group a few years ago and just loved it.
.
“I am writing to ask all of our West Seattle volunteers if you have any capacity to lead an evening or weekend PEPS group – if I have already connected with you recently, please forgive and ignore this email, but we’re desperately in need of volunteers to help us with the incredible waiting list we seem to have amassed. At the moment, we could use 3 volunteers just to clean up the list of families with autumn babies in West Seattle who are hoping to have the PEPS experience (and we always need weekday volunteers as well, though not as urgently at the moment). Any start dates in January or February would be especially helpful, and the groups run for 12 weeks.
.
We welcome solo leaders and we have also had great success with partner-led and co-led groups, since evening PEPS groups tend to be comprised of a mixture of couples and moms.
.
Please let me know if you are at all interested – we’d love to have you!
.
Thanks again,
Cate Palmer
