mellaw6565MemberOMG – Palin is such a maverick that she bucked her own running mate maverick!

Sarah – I got a message for you: if you’re daughter was a lesbian she wouldn’t be pregnant!

flowerpetalMemberUm, now I’m sure you know that lots of Lesbians become pregnant while it is true that most are planned. Same sex parents are on the rise in Seattle and everywhere.

kParticipanthaving just moved to california, i get to vote on whether i am allowed to be married or not. it’s still shocking to me that people believe gay marriage is a threat to them. my ability to marry does not effect anyone, but me and my partner. why is it ok to discriminate? i have been very surprised to see how california is shifting conservative again. it’s not the liberal state i lived in during the 90’s. wonder if the governator’s influence has caused it. all i know is i live near palm springs where the gay population is HUGE, gay money is creating a renaissance for this area and still, people think i should have no rights. as far as sarah palin goes….”jesus loves me this i know….”

addParticipantAnd she’s such a maverick that she wants to be in charge of the US Senate! Unbelievable.

mellaw6565MemberFlower – um, you’re preaching to the choir here with this lesbian. And for the record, young teenage lesbians are not into artificial inseminaton and in vitro.
It was a joke – relax.

CaitParticipantI just found out from msn news that no candidate has ever come from this far behind to win an election as John McCain would have to. Any comeback in history has not covered what he would need to do to win.
I realize anything could happen, but it made me feel better.
October 21, 2008 at 9:23 pm #644130
JoBParticipantdon’t count McCain out.
he does his best campaigning when everyone thinks he has no chance at all.
i think the october surprise will be late this year…
like a day before the election so there isn’t time to counter.
October 21, 2008 at 9:32 pm #644131
flipjackParticipantAnd I heard this on KUOW that the McDork/Palin campaign has received 2 MILLION dollars from Oil companies this campaign. That’s more than BUSH and Dick got.
However, the Obama bin Biden campaign has received 500,000 from Oil companies.

addParticipantThe interesting thing this year is all the early voting. Requires a slightly different strategy than the days-before bombshell or extra-nasty ads.

ZenguyParticipantDid anyone else see that Palin thinks the job of the VP is to preside over the Senate and work with Senators to pass laws?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/21/palin-claims-vice-preside_n_136556.html
Yesterday, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) sat for an interview with KUSA, an NBC affiliate in Colorado. In response to a question sent to the network by a third grader at a local elementary school about what the Vice President does, Palin erroneously argued that the Vice President is “in charge of the United States Senate”:
Q: Brandon Garcia wants to know, “What does the Vice President do?”
PALIN: That’s something that Piper would ask me! … [T]hey’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.
October 21, 2008 at 10:52 pm #644134
addParticipantYup – I linked it a few posts up!
October 21, 2008 at 11:03 pm #644135
ZenguyParticipantSorry Add, there is just too much to wade through!
October 21, 2008 at 11:23 pm #644136
addParticipantThat’s OK – I want more people to see it anyway, and you provided the text! Amazing and quite frightening, actually.
October 22, 2008 at 12:47 am #644137
JoBParticipantmaybe that’s what this vice president wants to do…
balance of power..
not if cheney moves his office into the legislative branch and they coopt the supreme court…
there is a lot at stake in this election.
