Paddle Sport Sales Associate Position

Mountain to Sound Outfitters is a successful, local paddle and snow sport store in West Seattle. We supply quality service, products and community to the Northwest and beyond. Our business is growing! We need new, strong, dedicated staff members to help enhance our store and e-commerce site. http://www.m2soutfitters.com. We also run Alki Kayak Tours in West Seattle.

If you have experience in retail sales, love paddle sports, the Puget Sound and engaging with customers on a regular basis, this is the position for you!

Daily Duties of Paddle Sports Sale Associate
– Engage with customers to help educate and purchase paddling equipment, kayaks and stand up paddle boards
– Handle money and operate a modern cloud based point of sale system
– Merchandise and organize store inventory and maintain a clean, organized store
– Organize boats and boards, assist in receiving and unpacking large shipments
– Assist Head of Sales in achieving sales goals and other seasonal projects

Long Term Duties
– Collaborate with other staff to participate in annual events and festivals
– Assist in store sale promotions and customer outreach
– Assist in a bi-annual inventory of paddle sports equipment.

Qualifications
– 1-3 years of experience in retail and/or sales.
– Passion or interest in Northwest paddle sports
– Ability to work with customers and other staff without discrimination
– Takes instruction well from management and senior staff members.
– Moderate knowledge of industry brands and vendors
– Excellent technical abilities. Able to learn web platforms quickly and troubleshoot issues independently.

Compensation
– 20-30 hours a week
– Hourly wage between $15-17 depending on experience
– This position is designed to be seasonal through October, but for the right person with experience in winter sports the position could extend through winter season.
