    Hi neighbors,

We had an incident at the Ocean View Addition beach (aka the neighborhood beach in Arbor Heights, off of Marine View Drive) where my babysitter and two kids went to the beach with our dog. Our dog (Wilson) a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix was bitten by another dog. My kids described the dog who bit him as a big black kind of shaggy dog, they think the dog’s name began with a B. The dog was there with his owner, who told my boys and babysitter not to worry, it was just a scratch. Turns out my dog needs surgery to install a drain and stitches, and the bite went into his muscle. We are trying to find the owner to confirm vaccinations. If you observed anything at the beach or have had a similar incident please private message me. Thank you for your assistance.

If it is the same black dog who bit my friend’s yellow female lab, this guy is totally unapologetic. Same medical needs as your dog. It is unclear whether he is a trespasser on the private beach, but obviously his dog doesn’t belong on the beach with other dogs.

Good luck in finding the person’s identity. If you do, please let me know and I can let you know the name of other owner whose dog was bitten. Friend was unaware her dog was bitten–she just heard the other owner shout that she should come get her dog, and discovered the bite later. Thanks.

This is the second time I have heard about owners not taking responsibility for their actions. As a pet owner or a parent you must take responsibility for your “kids” whether it be good or bad. I am super disappointed in this fellow and the lady whose dog bit my friend finger’s off. In both cases it happened more than once-I sure hope karma catches up to you both!!!!
