shannon, I guess I HAVE been lucky – because there are lots of kitties in my hood. Maybe it’s all those years of putting up with dachshund poop from my former neighbor – the poopie karma is with me. ;)

Vincent, per my post…my cats aren’t in anyone’s yard as they are indoor with 24 hour access to two outdoor enclosures–which means they are not free roaming.

I simply offerred some suggestions for neighbors that would like to maintain a friendly/positive relationhip by finding a mutuall agreeable resolution. There is no logical reason to direct such ‘vitrol’ towards people trying to help.

my idea of a mutually agreeable solution is that we all try to keep our four legged friends home.

I know that they can slip out.. but i sure appreciate intent.

funkietoo: We’re talking about domestic cats here. They absolutely would not exist without humans, so they are part of the human impact. While there would be more wild cats without humans around, I don’t think their numbers would begin to approach the number of cats we currently have. Whether you count them in the “human” part of that statistic or not, it doesn’t excuse the inconsiderate cat owners who let their pets roam the neighborhood.

Trying to control cats is like trying to nail jello to a wall.
