Any place local and trustworthy to get a quick oil change for my car?

My cars have never been right after taking them to Jiffy Lube at the Alaska Junction. That’s all I have to say about that…

I too am looking for a good place.

the place on the corner of Delridge and Barton is great. I can’t recall the name. Been taking my cars there for years. They are fast and inexpensive. I agree on Jiffy Lube. They hire morons there. They actually told me they didn’t know how to change the oil on my 1974 Mercury Montego. I took it to the place on Delridge, and have been going there ever since.

As a Jiffy Lube user for years and years in 3 different states, I won’t go to the one on Alaska either after they tried to cheat us. We’ve been taking it to Midas for oil changes and they do a good job.

Midas definitely has the best deal. Get the “Lifetime” deal. It’s a great value and I don’t know why everyone doesn’t use them. I paid about $120, or something up front and I have a oil and filter change every 3K. Won’t have to pay again. Sounds too good to be true. Just be able to resist all of the other work they will suggest every time you get your oil changed and you will be good to go.

937-1950 I highly recommend scheduling an appt.

Alki Auto repair is where i get my oil changed. Seems like they always have a coupon in those little books we get in the mail. i have even had them do other things on the subaru – no complaints. Ridge is a heck of a nice guy too.

I get my car serviced at Tom’s. The beautiful thing is that I never have to make an appointment. A couple of times a year I get a voicemail telling me that they’ve pre-scheduled me for a specific date and to just bring my car in that morning or call to cancel/reschedule.

Now, it’s not quick like a Jiffy Lube type establishment. I leave my car there for the day and take the bus to/from work, making sure I’ve got a spare key with me, so I can pick up my car after they’ve closed. But I certainly trust Tom’s, and the desk staff are wonderful.

    I second Tom’s.

It’s a long time locally owned WS business who wants to have a long time relationship with you and your cars.

We just used Tom’s when AAA had to tow us home from U-District with a blown alternator; I remembered someone had recommended them here, so we went there. We were very pleased with them. They did an oil change for us too since we were there and due, but we were surprised when we got a letter that they’d already scheduled us for a September oil change – I’d actually rather they didn’t automatically schedule us and would prefer to call them myself to do it. I wonder if they can mark that in their database somewhere.

I recommend Harrah’s on California in the Admiral area, behind Blockbuster.

I took my car to the Junction Jiffy Lube once for a quick oil change. The staff tried to cross sell extra work while changing my oil and left me with the feeling that I was being hustled. I have never gone back.

I also have my car serviced at Harrah’s in the Admiral District. I’m very happy with their work.
