The camp is now on a delivery schedule (and budget)of a maximum 130 gallons a day. They have enough containers to maintain that but I’m sure some extras (5 or 6 gallon) wouldnt hurt to have so they can stockpile if frugal. 130 gallons (22-23 containers)is the maximum I want to carry in my vehicle, and I am commited to a single delivery daily.

My plan is to pick up clean, ready-to-fill empties at around 5pm daily and return them about an hour later. (Yes, I know this is two round trips, but it’s a short distance and I dont want to deal with having the empties in my truck at other times.)

I have taken several gallons of bleach and will make sure they continue to have enough to maintain their water supply and keep their containers clean and bug-free.

That’s still only about a gallon per person per day though…..

Too early for a real trend, but current use is about 90-100 gallons a day. Hats off to the camp, because that is >very< frugal and responsible use of the resource!

    jamjets..

    hats off to you.

solving the water crisis has freed other volunteers up for what once seemed like less critical needs.

You guys are just amazing — see a need and solve it.I think this is how the world is supposed to work.
