RemyMemberHello!! Bonjour!!
My name s is Remy Coutarel and I just moved to West Seattle from France with my wife (who is from the area).
I already have a green card and now I am looking for job opportunities, though I don’t have any specific job in mind.

I am very versatile and curious about everything. I love meeting new people and I am very human, open and sociable.
My English is not perfect yet, but I learn fast and am ready to learn new things.
I have a good working knowledge of computers and most graphics software, but I also love working with my hands (gardening, cooking, painting) and love to be in contact with other people.
My schedule is very open, I am available weekdays and weekends and am looking for a job where I can totally invest myself.
So if you know of any businesses or individuals who are looking to hire, please let me know!!!

yeah-meParticipantHi Remy! You might try Filter (downtown) they are a graphic design contract/placement agency. They place designers all over the area in short to long time positions. Lots of Microsoft work if you a willing to drive across the lake.

anonymeParticipantBonjour, Remy! My paternal grandparents are French, my mother Belgian. Her maiden name was Couvreur, which looks similar to your surname.
My next door neighbor is a graphic designer. He never seems to have any trouble finding a job, so I will ask him for suggestions. Good luck, and welcome!

the only problem for the graphic design is a lot of business want skill in HTML and i don`t have that.so for the moment i looking for any job opportunity.

I understand your concern, but I would still encourage you to meet with Filter and let them know about your skills. They may have something for you immediately, in 3 weeks, maybe in 3 months. They will keep your information on file.
I am a Graphic Designer and used to work with them several years ago.

argilesParticipantWelcome to West Seattle! I hope you and your wife both enjoy living here. It is a great community. I moved here a year ago from IL and I will never go back to IL now that I have seen what the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
