The Velvet BulldogParticipantI’ve used Chill on California for my massages post car-wreck injury. You can book an appointment online (chillwestseattle.com) for an hour-long massage, and when you get there, tell the massage therapist what you need. Alix is wonderful, and Heather specializes in Cranial-sacral work which is more energy work and less about kneading the muscles like bread dough. I was a skeptic until I tried it. Really helps the muscles relax.
Feel better!

dhgParticipantJoan Browne, LMP, 3272 California Ave. SW (Suite 105), 206-778-2020: She’s very careful to listen to your needs before starting and she can be very gentle! Highly recommended.

JanSParticipantany massage therapist worth their salt should be able to do that for you. A massage therapist should listen, first and foremost, to what the client says, and work with you on what feels comfortable. And I tell all my clients that if something is uncomfortable or causes pain during the massage, to speak up, and not just lie there and think that’s the way it should be. I never go by the theory of “no pain, no gain”.

WDParticipantWhat dhg said about Joan Browne is true. She listens to what you want and need and has very healing hands. She’ll take good care of you.

HelperMonkeyParticipantseconding the recommendation for JanS’ massage. She’s helped me through both a shoulder and back injury and also just when I needed a relaxing massage. Really the main reason I go is to visit Leo, the front office kitty. ;)

JanSParticipanthehehe..and if you bring him food (he loves a good ham sammie, minus the bread – and discovered last night he likes french fries – lol), and a cuddle under the chin, he’ll love you forever :)
