OK, so NOT in West Seattle, but did happen to a West Seattleite.

    .

Yes, that is my 20 year old Lexus in the picture. Wednesday was an exciting day in Seattle.

    Well, that was fun!

    NOT!

Sorry this happened to you, Kevin, but reading your post really had me scared, because I thought you maybe had been in a smash-up bang-up accident.

(Not that this is much better!)

In any case, glad that you are okay!

BTW, I tried to send you an e-mail yesterday, but it bounced back.

Do you have a new addy? And if so, would you e-mail it to me?

Looks like the FD guy had to pee on your engine to put out the fire.

    Just sayin’.

(I don’t mind if people flag this post, ‘cuz I did say “pee.”)

Yikes! I’m glad you had the presence of mind to call 911 immediately and not just hope it resolved itself.

Tell the dealership that your next Lexus should be less electrifying.

As many of us know, Kevin is a great photographer, and really knows his stuff.

The observant viewer will notice Kevin’s clever placement of the firefighter, thus obscuring his license plate, so that he didn’t have to run the pic through Photoshop to blur the plate number.

What Kevin didn’t predict, was some smartypants to claim it looked like the firefighter was peeing on the engine. ;-)

(I don’t mind if people flag this post, ‘cuz I called DPB a name…) ;-P

Glad it wasn’t to bad!! Check for recalls!!! I had a 94 Lexus that cought fire while driving on I5 (with my brand new baby). It was part of an “oil sludge” recall. Toyota ended up buying my car back!
